Scribe – use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at WGP

·        The surgery is now using AI software called Scribe, to transcribe notes taken during patient consultations.

·        This allows the clinician to focus directly on you, the patient, for a better consultation outcome.

·        The software uses a ‘human in the loop’ principle whereby the clinician has to approve the notes produced by Scribe before they are added to the patient’s record.

·        The Notes produced by Scribe are therefore never added directly to your record without first having been seen by your clinician. 

·        Note that the software is not making clinical decisions or directing our clinical team in any way in respect of your care. Once the notes have been added to the patient record by the clinician, they are deleted from Scribe. They are not stored or shared with anyone.
